Dion McParland is a graduate from University of Windsor with a Master Degree from the School of Social Work. Dion works within an anti-oppressive, social justice perspective of Social Work practice. Dion is a Family Support Counsellor with the Alzheimer Society of Niagara, providing support, education and advocacy for persons with dementia and their Care Partners. Dion is Chair of the Niagara Elder Abuse Prevention Network; this Network is a collaboration of service providers from within Niagara, focusing on education and addressing gaps in service delivery in the community.
