Recent surveys show that Canadians continue to be very concerned about climate change and the environment and feel that action needs to be taken to protect the planet for current and future generations. Most tenants/members share these concerns but are sometimes confused about the role they can play in protecting the environment.  While property owners have generally been quite successful in reducing energy and water consumption over the past 15 to 20 years, not many have engaged the tenants/members in a manner that would enable them to significantly contribute towards these environmental efforts.  Landlords/property managers can play a key role by engaging tenants/members and providing appropriate information, guidance, tools and feedback to enable them to be more proactive.  In this seminar, we will look at a variety of measures that tenants/members can employ and explore the initiatives that have been taken by a number of proactive building owners and managers in meeting the environmental challenges we face today.
