IHM Celebrates Social Work Week & Month

March 4-10 is Social Work Week in Ontario, and across Canada. March is National Social Work Month.

Join IHM in celebrating this essential work by recognizing how #SocialWorkOpensDoors for people across Ontario and the Country.

Deborah Filice, RSSW, Education Director for IHM and a member of the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Service Workers, comments, "Property Managers have a responsibility to intervene where possible and report households where they feel persons are at risk of harm. This could include children, seniors and where there may be the presence of domestic violence. Property Managers may need to support other households where individuals present with mental health needs. There are local support agencies in most municipalities that will assist."
