What does this day mean to you? Are we living in a time of equity and inclusion for all households and individuals? Are family members and friends we care about struggling to maintain or acquire a home? Has homelessness become far more visible in our neighbourhood, and if it has, what have we personally contributed to supporting those persons experiencing homelessness?
These are all difficult questions, and finding the right solution is complex.
On this National Housing Day, the Institute of Housing Management - Canada (IHM) commends the organisations and individuals who work with and support current tenants and those persons who are experiencing difficulty finding an affordable home. We commend our IHM members for their efforts and dedication to a challenging but ever-rewarding profession in housing.
